Q. How should I wash my ReCover Blanket?

A: Either hand-wash the blanket or use a washing machine on a gentle cycle. Hand washing your blanket may prolong the life. If machine washed, wash ONLY in cool temperature water (3°C/85°F) with mild soap. Rinse blanket thoroughly and then hang or line dry. Under no circumstance should your blanket be machine dried.

Q. How do I know what size ReCover Blanket I should order for my horse/pony?

A: ReCover Balnkets are sized according to hands as the units of measure. Once your horse/pony has been measured on a level surface, please refer to the ReCover sizing chart to determine what size best fits your horse/pony. Note: it is important that the blanket affix tightly to the body of the horse to prevent cold/heat packs from sagging, most notably in the stifle region.

Q. I have misplaced my Application Pouches and can no longer use my ReCover Blanket, can I purchase replacements?

A: Yes. We offer additional Application Pouches. Whether you are in need of replacements, or simply would like to treat additional areas simultaneously, additional Application Pouches may be purchased through the website.

Q. Can I use the ReCover Blanket before FEI competition?

A: Yes, it's completely drug-free and compliant.

Q. What comes with the blanket?

A: You receive the blanket as well as four resuable cold/heat packs, four insulated pouches and a mesh carrying case.

Q. How long will the packs stay cold/hot?

A: Anywhere from fifty to one hundred freeze/heat cycles. If you only freeze the pack it can last up to two years.

Q. What are the washing instructions?

A: Hand wash with cold water and hang dry.

Q. What if I need to treat a larger area?

A: Position pouches next to each other to cover the treatment area. Additional packs/pouches can be ordered if needed.

Q. How do I make the pack cold/hot?

A: Place in freezer for up to four hours or place in microwavable container, cover completely with water and heat on full power for up to three minutes. If no microwave is available, place pack in bucket of hot water for up to five minutes.
